A synopsis for those who don't have speakers.

  • 7-8 players ran just over the 13 minute mark around the tan yesterday.  Hyde and Johnno have been standouts for a couple of years.  Nice to see others stepping up now.  Hall was leading near the end.  Great effort for someone 6'5 to get around at that kind of pace.  Couple of young guys pushing up.  White and Casserley really showing their wares.  Polo and Jackson mentioned too.
  • Richo wants to do everything all the time but had a lot of problems with his knee blowing up last year so they're keeping him off the harder surfaces.  He's right and raring to go but they're erring on the side of caution.
  • Chaff is a lot better after the Christmas break.  Has had a slight groin operation that's taken a bit of time to get right. He's getting a lot freer in his movement now
  • Nathan is going well.  Each session is an improvement on the last.  Had a couple of pins taken out before new year, recovered well and is back in training. He's kicking, starting to get more lateral movement into his action and is getting quicker.

He has a metro sexual image but is a genuinely tough person and keen to prove he can get back to his best. He has high expectations of himself but Terry's are lower of him.  He's not at any more risk than anyone else of breaking a leg

Terry felt Richmond fans were ripped off with the injury at a time when Nathan was playing his best footy ever.
  • Asked if he's taken a more softly, softly approach this year compared to when he had them straight under the whip when he first arrived Terry said he felt they needed some shock value last year.  They were down and out in attitude and the way they felt about themself.  He felt they were shocked into action and were ready to play by Christmas.  This year is different.  Fitness wise almost every player has done every session.  Their measures are better but they're not as ready to play football..  That will build up in the next 2-3 months.
  • Has had a talk with Mick McGuane in regards to his position.  Said there are no guarantees with Richmond and more or less gave his blessing to a full time position for Mick if he can get one.
  • No major leadership changes this year.  Thinks the new group did a great job.  The first year was coach driven but it needs to be more player driven now.  Sent players off in their break to think about where they want their club to be heading and will be having a group discussion this arvo.  Leadership is one issue to be discussed.

Hope I've got that all correct.  My shorthand is very hard to decypher. ;D

Good work Rosy!
