Terry also mentioned that there's a rule all players are aware of and that is they'll never be taken to task for getting run down and caught.

He wants the players to take them on and if the opposition are good enough to catch us on occasion then tough luck.

Our boys will be encouraged to keep running.

Wonderful to hear considering the static kind of footy we played under Frawley and it's great the players are encouraged to take risks with no fear of copping the coaches wrath for it.

Good stuff Tezza. :clapping

Totally agree Rosy.

Raines and Hartigan prime examples of this so far this year.

Great summary General.

I have this feeling that Tambling will be dropped for White this week.

no chance, tambling is coming along nicely and his ethic and work rate was spoy on v adel!

aah, but if it was Tivendale kicking the ball directly to the opposition under no pressure on the weekend like Foley did at least twice, you guys would be screaming murder.   ::)

Or Krakouer.  Or Pettifer.  ;)
*smile* cops it because hisdisposal has been crap for yrs on end and is one of the softest players in the comp. when the heat goes on you can see the squib melt. pettifer doesnt have a defensive bone in his body and lacks pace the amount of times his direct opponent runs of him is criminal oh and did i mention soft before well it goes double for pettrified. and little andy *smile* where does one begin.lets just say my criticisms of this dud are well documented.
here we have a youngster who hardly gets a fair go who regularly out performs seasoned duds like the above with limited game time and ferals would rather see the hacks get a game in front of him unbelievable. we have seen the best of *smile* *smile* and pettrified and its hardly up to standard they are not going to get any better where as foleys upside is huge.

u r so fos!

Hopefully Terry's comment on Foley was just to spur him to greater heights. Maybe TW believes Foley is better than the level he is currently playing.

Given limited game time, Foley is doing really well. He has incredible reaction time, and that Goal of Pattison's wouldn't have happened without a lightening fast clearance by Foley.

.

There are a few good reasons why Ritchie should take a 'spell' at Coburg and it's purely for 'getting back to basics', and getting more a feel, than disciplanary reasons - correct me if I'm wrong, but he had no game time in the last quarter.

Yep I'll correct you. Coped a knock in a marking duel during the last QTR (cannot remember how far in) struggled to get up and was removed from ground soon after. Knock seemed to wind him or maybe some upper body problem?

By the fact he did not return could be injured this is merely speculation however.

Sending a player back to Coburg doesnt guarantee possessions....in fact i reckon sometimes its harder to get a touch at a lower grade...leave Richie alone he is doing fine....Some of the other indigenous players who are playing well all took a while to come on - Davey and Lovett were both Rookies who didnt do anything till last year - they are now 22yrs old, Davis is only now producing consistently good footy and he is 25yrs old, and i remeber pickett and Mcleod taking a while to establish themselves.....Bling is 19 and will be a gun in 3yrs.

Ahh, but it may have worked for Courtney Dempsey.

No good reason to dump Ritchie but agree that White is a big chance.Maybe Axel or Jackson for White in the only change.

If either Schulz or Hall train the house down, one could come in as a reserve, as insurance in case its dry and Brad plays in the forward line and begins well.

However King and Mooney look doubtful which means Brad will have to do most of the ruckwork.

If it rains then maybe Terry will just back the same team.
why is it everyone wants to sack foley sheesh he does twice as much as some of the highly rated duds anbd yet everyone wants to drop him. give *smile* thje flick hes been very ordinary the last couple of weeks and leave those alone who are prepared to put their head over the ball.

Couldn't agree more claw.  Amazing how Foley's name always gets bought up when talking about who to go out.  Is easily one of our best at centre clearances and is generally well skilled.  Why drop him?   ???

For me Foley's only mistake came late in the final quarter.  He's on the wing/HFF and received a free kick or mark (can't remember), Knoble ran hard to provide space, however holding the ball, he ran out of time and had to bomb it long.  Clarke marked it over Knoble.
