Terry playing with fire?

Good point.
He would have been far better off playing the united front card.

This is what Wallace should have said "look I like Greg Miller and had a good working relationship with him, but our plan for future success at the RFC is locked in and we are all working hard to achieve that end and we have exciting times ahead at this famous club"

I haven't taken that much notice of the situation but I'm surprised about the support for Miller comment. My, probably somewhat limited, perception based on PRE posts, is that nobody seems too upset about the decision at all.

I was never a fan of Greg's power and copped heaps of rubbishing on other sites and in e-mails because I was dead against him going on the board. I wouldn't have a clue what he actually did for our club, or if we're in better shape because of his contribution, but he had far too much say for my liking.

Not saying that was his fault in some ways, he had to be a jack of all trades out of necessity, but the way he alinged himself with CC to get him elected, and his bullying of those who indicated their intention to nominate for the board in later years was very unhealthy behaviour from a club employee.

I don't like the way the Mole leaked the info and turned Greg's dismissal into a three ringed circus before the matter was dealt with appropriately but I'm certainly not sorry the powers to be felt it's time he left the building.

It's fair to say if a head hunting firm has been interviewing candidates then the leak may have come from outside the club.

You people can't have it both ways. If you're not prepared to give credit, then you shouldn't be prepared to dish out the crap here either.

I disliked Miller for joining the board. I disliked him for his trade record (paddy bowden for one, Jordie McMahon for pick 19 no 2), but you can't rubbish him for all of that, and not give him credit for overseeing the start of our rebirth. Even if, at the very least, you credit him for gettng Jackson to the club. Really, can you honestly say "I don't know what he did, but I don't like it". If you're uninformed, how can you criticise legitimately?

Likewise, if Frawley was to blame (not beck or miller et al) for our crap list when he left, then Wallace must be giving credit for the state of it now.

As for what Terry said being out of line, or upsetting the club, I mean c'mon. Do you really think the players are focussing on Greg Miller or the board when they are warming up before a game? If they are, then we've got a bunch of mentally soft players who need to learn to block out the distractions. I doubt any of our players are like that. At the very most, there could be one, even then I doubt it.

Leaks don't have to be a single source - the bigger the news the greater the possibility of mutliple leaks.

No one mixes a Metaphor better than the master - Johannes Bjelke Petersen........dddddon't you worry about that! ;D

Greg Miller is gone in circumstances that the RFC did not attempt to manufacture. It's rationale in replacing Greg is not a surprise - except save for Greg himself - there is a lesson in that alone. Also, you can't appoint replacements without speaking to people, so belittling the club is pointless as a consequence. This isn't the first nor the last leak from a football club. Terry only has to do what he tells us he does best - COACH. He is a career coach. intelligent, strategic - he can deal with all this - it will be ancient history by the end of the week!

Fair to say that if the head hunting firm leaked the news then it could put their entire business at risk.
No one is going to use a firm like that when they can't keep something confidential

Sniff, sniff. SNIIIIIIIIFFFFF!
I smell something rotten in ( the puntroad end of ) Denmark.
The next six to nine months or so will either be a steady progression of business as usual or a serious dose of *smile* hitting the fan once again.
I know which scenario I'm willing to put dollars on.

I am happy that the club wont extend Wallace's contract untill the end of next year.

Judge him by win/loss record, and imo it that great.

Sir Joh had another classic, when coming out of a cabinet meeting where he fired two of his ministers for disloyalty he said "we're not cutting toes we're lopping heads"

Ah the good old days when the Tigers ruled and firing someone was a sign of strength and not this nonsense that the media go on with today.

Sorry TM but I don't think Uncle Clint will be coming back. ;D

Woke up this morning regenerated.

I have always wanted Terry to see out his contract. Whilist not angry, for the unity of the club...i still think he could of said something different.

Anyway, all will be forgoten about until a few more months before something pops up again.

5 wins from 6 games?

Lets just wait and see how the rest of the season pans out before we get excited about wins. This week could get ugly and we still have the Hawks. Only problem now is that we have given Wallace an excuse if we lose from here on. Will blame the Miller saga!!! Signs are there that we have slightly improved, but skill level and decision making is still terrible after 4 years of Wallace.
