Tezza on Sports 927 (Tuesday)

I listened to the interview yesterday morning but had to go out and didn't get around to posting about it.

Here are a few points I jotted down for those who don't have speakers.

  • Our younger players went really well.  Took extra up because of the heat and told them not to even get stripped in the first half but they'd get a bit of time in the second half.  Cleve, Meyer and Limbach came on and kicked 7 goals between them
  • Limbach 50/50 for next week at this stage
  • When AFL plan games they need to keep a close monitor on whether sides meet again in the first few rounds.  Neither team wanted to show their hand seeing they meet in round 1.  We would have had a full complement if we weren't meeting the Dogs again so soon so feels the people of Shepparton were robbed
  • The temp, 36-38, was a scorcher but not much of an issue.  Took plenty of players to rotate.  Could have shortened the quarters but that wouldn't be fair to the people from Shepp
  • Asked if we're seieng an epidemic of flooding said the first game was very much that way inclined but the second one was different and vey high scoring.
  • Browny alright.  Pulled up a bit sore but that was more general soreness from not playing for so long.  Terry thought Browny was right off the pace first game but looked far more likely in Shep
