Well it started out last October at Punt road and along the way ive had the pleasure of driving too Sandringham,Vic Park,Learmonth,Shepparton,Red cliffs,Coburg city oval, some other place in Coburg and Bullen as well as some fine video work from Pharcae on the Gold Coast.
So I was just thinking after watching todays praccy match it will be the last of the pretend stuff for quite sometime so I started to think what possitives I could take from the summer.
1 The big improvment of Andrew Raines, of course not proven yet but he came on in leaps and bounds as the summer went on and as his confidence appeared to grow so did his fierce desire for the ball.
2 The general skill level of most of the team but more so the likes of Jacko and Pato and even more so Polo and as im sure the boys would say they have a way to go but they are atleast heading in the right direction
3 The pleasure of watching Tambling at full tilt ,once he got going it was easy to see what all the hype was all about last year, fingers crossed for a bit of luck for the young man.
4 The emergence of a genuine quality young key forward(Cleve) watched him many a time at the end of training drill goals from the boundary line.
5 Training drills as any one who would have been to training over the summer would have saw,it is a vastly differant training place now days at Tigerland,The quality of thinking drills and well laid out training sessions is simply great to watch.
6 THE NOISE we are still probally a tad on the quite side but the decibels have gone through the roof compared to recent years. The standouts for mine ,Joel,Browny,Richo,Sugar,Limbach,Harts,Knobel
7 The comraderie between the players seems great,Always see them out and about together.
8 Practice match form Richo,Tuck,Raines,Jay,P bowdo and in the lower level Wil and Polo
9 Overall its been a very enjoyable summer and though I know we have to keep improvin we are without doubt getting better
10 Special mention to Browny and Tommy. For Browny to be doing what he has on the track for as long as he has is a great credit to what he must have been doin behind closed doors while the 05 season was still going. As for Tommy this kid no doubt knows his back is against the wall and has left no stone unturned this summer he has dead set worked his guts out to get a chance and even if he dosent make it the standard he has set for training has raised the bar for all of Tommys TEAM mates.TW said the other day if this kid dosent make it in the end, he will be able to look himself in the mirror with pride and say well I gave it my best shot, now how many of us can say that.Best of luck to you Tommy

Very well summarised CC, you haven't left any stone unturned. :clap

I haven't met every Tiger supporter/member, but I have to say, it's people like you that put the 'hard yards' in and support the club through thick and thin, and travel to every corner of this country to continually support the team.

All I can hope for the RFC is to continually develop the kids, get as much game time under their belts, and really become a force. All I can hope from all Richmond people is to support the club financially through memberships and other coterie groups, and stick by the team because the RFC is finally heading in the right direction.

Eat 'em Alive!

Awesome thread CC :clap

Standouts for me pre season are:
1. The successful and unexpected return of Brown for rd 1.
2. The maturing of Schulzy who's really put his hand up.
3. Cleve Hughes. looks like we got a steal.
4. Rainsey jnr. Potentially the small back we've been hoping for. Taking giant steps.
5. Almost a full and fit list to choose from come round 1.

Here's to a clean slate for all the players a week out from round 1. I wish them all the best.

Go Tiges!!! :gotigers :emblem

close to the best news i've heard all summer.

Well done CC.

Well done GPB.

Well done to everyone who've conjured for us such a magical & animated description of the preseason.

I still believe this club's greatest asset is its supporters.

thankyou CC tiger, great post/great thread.

Thanks also to the PRE-posters, GPB, Pharace and others who have brought this Richmond PRE-season closer to us, than we can usually get.

I really appreciated

PS: CCTiger - that was a great summary :clap
