I just finished watching the replay and I would just like to thank Jade Rawlings for making the Richmond Football Club enjoyable to watch again.

Yes, we lost to Carlscum, yes, they're still many errors and yes we have a long way to go. However, the fact I can watch a Richmond game with all players tackling properly, with good technique and trying to play a team game is such an uplifting and enjoyable experience. No need to go over the names of those who are out who I am talking about, we all know who they are. And to watch players being finally set up a little better and being played in correct roles made the viewing experience even better.

Yes some of the players still need to go, but at least the endeavor was there.

This is not a vote for Jade as coach next year at all. As far as I am concerned he and the other assistants have a lot to answer for for not being able to influence Terry's decisions 24 months ago. But for finally putting a team on the field that is not "weak" as ....... I give a big :clap.

You must have missed the Crows game, that was about as unenjoyable as you can get.

Would have helped if we had some forward line structure at Carrara like we had against the Blues. Would have made that game a little easier to tolerate.

Whilst I watched the game on the TV I also would like to endorse Jade's job so far:
1. Playing kids like Post and Vickery
2. Emphasizing the defensive aspect of the game
3. Sticking with the development of Edwards, Hislop, Rance, Graham etc
4. Playing tall targets in the forward line like Riewoldt, Vickery and Post

All of the above are massive improvements on TW. :clap

We are more watchable because we can see development of our youth in action, not just at press conferences. :spin

That's a pretty fair assessment. Think that sums up how I feel at the moment.

I know there are probably other threads for this, but seeing as it was mentioned (tall targets in the forward line...)

Angus Graham got pushed over by 2 smaller Carlton defenders at different times. (1 on 1, not 2 on 1) I think he needs to learn how to plant his feet.

Picky I know, but he is a man mountain and shouldn't be budged.

Thanks again Jade.
Great to see quality tacklers playing again (except for Brown.... :( ) and guys focusing on the defensive side of things more consistently.
I hope you do not make the mistake of putting both Richo and Brown in the Fwd line next week, or the week after. The forward pressure will drop ridiculousy costing us many goals. We can handle one...Richo, if he plays deep FF but not both.

well said Juff, TBH I would have stopped going had TW remained , I thought twice about going on SUN but went along knowing that the side had put in in recent weeks and we were a sneaky sorta chance with Cuzz and Cotch returning...good on Jade, like Vickery he's improving by the week :clap
