Whilst reading the deledio thread came across talk on Otto, instead of re-starting talk on the lids thread re otto thought id just start a new thread up...
I must say i personally dont think otto had a great first 2 years at the Cats, i still think 2001 (rich) and 2007 (cats) were his very good years...
Not sure if he was playing more ruck id guess more forward going by these figures in 05' & 06'....
2007 though i think we all know he played more so in the Ruck!
2005 - Otto ave 11 disposals, 4.5 marks, 1 goal and 11 hit outs a game
2006 - Otto ave 11 disposals, 4.7 marks, 1.2 goals and 14.5 hit outs a game
2007 - Otto ave 13.5 disposals, 5.2 marks, 0.72 goals a game and 19 hit outs a game
2008 - Otto ave 13 disposals, 4.5 marks, 0.87 goals a game and 20.3 hit outs a game
Ill put up Simmonds first 2 years at the club and stack them up against Otto...After doing the numbers Otto aint worth 500K+ let me tell ya that.
Simmonds has been more than comparable to ottens for those years mentioned perhaps even ahead, apart from 2007 the big donought has been some what overrated IMO.

2006 - Simmo ave 16.4 disposals, 6.7 marks, 1.2 goals a game and 18.4 hit outs a game
2008 - Simmo ave 16.7 disposals, 6.3 marks, 0.6 goals a game and 16.3 hit outs a game
Simmo 2007 with 10 games and both simmo and otto in 2009 playing under 10 games not worth mentioning...
