The Blair "Which?" Project

Re: The Blair Hartley Project

Interesting Caro said there's a clause in Kurt Tippett's contract that states he has to be traded to a club of his choice he chooses next year for a 2nd and 3rd round pick. Surely not true?

She wrote a column about it ages ago. Not sure if its true. She's adamant though. Why would GC trade for him now? Use your first rounder this year. Be *smile* again, get a start of 1st priority and Tippett and all your compos. Would be an amazing haul next year.

I reckon their thinking will be along the lines of GWS lurking in the shadows and Tippett possibly enjoying life under a new coach. Adelaide are certainly having their hand forced, my guess is they will be grateful to get their mits on pick 4.

If Lachie Hansen is the one supposedly offered up for our compo pick we should grab him and run.
I would have to agree with you there Spook.

Gotta love Grant Thomas. He just suggested Hamish McIntosh to Richmond...

for a Coke and a Mars bar!

As much of flog that he can be, 90% of the stuff that comes out of his mouth is true!
You have to love his honesty & his dislike of the AFL.

Re: The Blair Hartley Project

I like Grant Thomas but he still can't see how important ruckmen are in September, despite a four-week lesson this time every year.

Thomas doesn't change his opinion on anything, he's incredibly self righteous.

too expensive. Pies are knobs at trade time. Which i reckon we are starting to become, hence, we slaughtered last trade period and didnt get bent over.

We have greater needs elsewhere

That really sums it up doesn't it? Would love to have him but his cost would be too great and we would neglect other needs.

He's a donkey.

Classic case of an ordinary player looking good in a good side.

Jade Rawlings the 2nd.

If the Pies are smart they'll trade him for an early first rounder.

Re: The Blair Hartley Project

Then who will play the very important second key forward role for them? Dawes won't go anywhere.

Carlton. Heard they are offering double Collingwood. Blues have $600,000 in the salary cap thanks to Visy deal for Judd.

Re: The Blair Hartley Project

I also get the impression that he would struggle in a worse team. I certainly wouldnt pay overs for him but would be happy for Carlton too.

Very average footballer, kicks well with the 3 kicks he gets a week.
Very poor when the hits the ground & very slow.
More like Ben holland then Rawlings!
He wouldn't get a kick a RFC!

Hansen's been a pretty average thus far. Keen to know why you and Spook would be so interested in getting him the selection we got for Tambling.
