The Brownlow Medal - 2006

I actually reckon that over the last 18 months Kerr has been as good as Judd.  Both of them bust tackles and create attacks from nothing at important times in games and do it often.

West losing this one is a lot like McLeod losing to Acker in 02, (I think?), that year Acker was brilliant but McLeod was better, and Macca missed out on a couple of standout BOGs and lost by a vote or 2.

That's the problem with the Brownlow, the best don't always win but because the chosen one is usually a very good player anyway, those that are runners up are usually quickly forgotten.

I think Goodes went at pick 40 as then you were only allowed to pick one 17 (may have been 16) each year. Richmond picked up Ottens with pick 2 as our youngster and Sydney did not have early draft picks until Goodes.

Was there a voting system here for the ladies on the night?

Goodes looked like a winner on all fronts, the Sydney boys in general looked to do more than okay. O'Keefe & J. Bolton's ladies also deserve a special mention.

And Chris Judd is a very lucky man :fing32

Richo is a bit like the Star Ship Enterprise. He comes with a cloaking device
There are several ships with cloaking technology but typically the Federation starships such as Enterprise had no such facility.

please don't kill me for being a Startrek fan thx

Sorry buddy, to be honest i'm more of a Red Dwarf fan!

I reckon West will do a Bulldog Murray. He'll win a brownlow at age 58 playing his 700th game and it will be his worst season ever but the umps will take pity and give him a brownlow just to get rid of him. But unlike Bulldog he won't make a 5 hour long acceptance speech on Grand Final Day.
