Just curious whether Kane was appointed for just the one year or for longer?
and also same re. the vice captains?

Does anyone know?

My understanding is captaincy & leadership positions are reviewed every year.Would think there will be no change to captaincy, vice captaincy etc for 2006.

who are the vice captains?

(god when i was a kid i knew all this sort of stuff and their numbers and all the ressies players! my brain is dying)

I think Nathan Brown is vice captain with Richo & Bowden dvc's.

Bowden's turn this year, then I'd give it to Browny the year after.

Ya brains not dying - when we were kids all we had to worry about was the mighty Tigers and who was playing and who trained well. Nowadays we have more responsibilities that take up memory cycles in our brain.

Responsibilities like - the wife and is she happy? - are the kids heading in the right direction? - work and is the boss on-side? - Politics and is Johnny ripping me off?

And the biggest responsibility of them all -
oh strewth better start for the toilet now because by the time I get there I will be ready to go. :rofl :rofl

thanks remote man. u have clarified my brain fade.

i shall go and have a chai and a lie down

Along the same lines as the Saints policy then Phantom?

Hasn't Thomas done almost enough now to rise above criticism.
His policy has led to the development of 10 leaders at the Saints.

How many acting captains have they used this year?
And still there's a surplus of leadership at the Sainters.

hey phanto

do u know for sure that they will rotate it or are u just surmising?

Only asking the question Phantom ::).

Seems to be working doesn't it.

Wouldnt mind adapting a similar line with the Saints but possibly every two years?

What do you al think.

Look what its done for the Saints....leaders on every line something we dont really have .......

Ridiculous syestem of StKilda as I believe it devalues the captaincy.I would prefer the best man get the job & keep it until he's not the best man.

Leaders should be leaders regardless of title I believe Phantom, I dont think manufacturing leaders works real well, it just doesnt happen real well from what ive seen in life and sport. Some people jsut dont have that personality. IF htey are going to be leaders, they should be doing those things anyway in my opinion only.

Leaders need to be trained, and gain experience.
Most corporate leaders have a few letters after their name.
The Aussie cricket captain usually is the captain of his home state.

Leaders are usually made, not born.
Even Moses had to wander around the desert for a while, under God's tutelage, before returning to free the slaves. ;)

I disagree wit hyou in most instances. Some people can be made I think jsut tweaking a part of their personality, but in most cases I think they ahve the personality or they dont, this is what I have observed from my own sporting experiences.
