The Carlton game!

Don't want to sound too dramatic but gee a win first up over Carlton has a bit of importance attached to it.
Carlton 1st game win
Sydney ?
Collingwood win
Doggies ?
wst coast ?
geelong win

With the memberships down a bit would be good to flog carlton, then we'll have a tough little run for the next 5 weeks after that. 3 wins from the 6 games would be acceptable. To get beat in that game against Carlton would be a disaster for the club.

if we can't beat carl, coll, and geelong then we'll struggle this year. i'm confident we can win all three

the doggies aren't the toughest proposition. the other two games could be tough
form and confidence can grow very quickly!
If we do the right thing and beat carlton, then sydney always start a bit slow, we are then on a bit of a roll when we meet the pies. Sounds good anyway.

Relax Hopper,we will win,we are playing last year's wooden spooners.
I can't relax - i'm embroiled in my own version of "Groundhog Day". When do I get to at least knock Andie McDowell off!?

Yes but is she 'worth it' ha ha

Most years, the previous seasons Grand Finalists start slowly.

I reckon playing Syd and WC at home early in the year is a real opportunity to win those games, or at least perform well. We could then gain some confidence and set up the rest of our season.

I'd like to think so Jack, but I'm pretty sure we played the Eagles early last year (I know it was over there) & got done by about 8 goals. We played Sydney reasonably early here in Melbourne (we know what happened there). ;)

Geez if the blues knock us off in round one Aunty Rosalita will be best served shutting down PRE for one week as the brightsided backlash and fury will be well ................................... um extremely heated. 8)

just look at the storyline so far....carlton down on their knees...white knight comes along with a wad full of cash to tip into the downtrodden blues....tigers going along all nicely no off field dramas good profit from last year looks like this club is getting its crap together off the fiield as well on the field.... recruits look to be good prospects over three drafts?

BANG....blues win a game even though it was the bombers...mind you they looked a bit more hungry than our effort down at the cattery....

all of a sudden a few more injuries.... some seem to questioning TW's decision making and guess WHO we play 1st round our old enemy the DOWNTRODDEN blues at the G.....

what does history tell us supporters over the last 25 years of how the RFC will go in this game.....

ahh why go there i think we all know the answer....
