The countdown has arrived...Your routine on game day?

For a 2.10pm kick off at G

Leysy wakes up about 10am will get knocked back by g/f, then decide to get ready & out as quick as possible while she cleans apartment.

Will read papers & get brekkie at a cafe near home. (Prahran)

Usually jump on the train at noon listening the the trannie which will get me drinking my 1st pot at the London Tavern by 12.15pm :beer :beer

Will stay there chewing the fat with mates I usually meet or the usual PRE bretheren that drink pre-game there.

Normally have about 5 one for the road's & make a late dash at about 2.05pm for the "G". :crazy :smash

Never ever get there for the 1st bounce, usually stand at the back of Level 1 Southern Stand on about the 50m arc. Boozer 10m behind us, toilet directly to the left & TAB 30 secs away straight down the stairs

Chew the fat, abuse players (both our own & opposition), & get bang into the game.

As soon as final siren sounds, straight back to said pub to celebrate/commiserate & talk the game over.

then stumble home late for dinner/party/whatevers planned & get talking to by g/f that I umm & arrrgghh to & say it'll never happen again (till next week ;D)

Bring it on!

Wow this is like a bit of nostaglia, i used to buy some rare music years ago at gaslight records in bourke st, im pretty sure there still around.

Gaslight was my favourite shop in Melbourne but it closed down a year or so ago. :'(

My gameday routine is similar to BBC80's. Pack tucker and head off on a long drive. I always check into PRE before I leave cos there's often last minute goss.

If I don't go to the games I still wear some Richmond gear while watching on telly or listening on the radio or at the local footy etc.

'Sugar is the captain'

Hey tha8ball.

What is that chant, I'm in the cheer Squad but I have no idea how it goes.

Sugar is the captain
he wears tha captains hat,
and when he sees a hardball get
he says "Im havin that",
he handballs up to Coughlan :(
who kicks it to the square,
when Richo marks and goals
we all go *****ing spare!

Another Classic from the Grog Squad.

What a shame that music shop had so many different artists, a lot of under ground stuff.

Get the train from Eltham to the ground.
Read the paper and convince myself we can't win,so just enjoy the day instead.
Walk into the London Tavern.
Buy several pots and listen to Redford and Evo tell me how and why we'll win.
Walk to the ground and wonder if I would be happier to stay in the LT instead............

Watch game.

Go back to the LT where i should have stayed.

Get a barrage of text messages from gloating mates about our loss.

Listen to Redford tell me we're doomed forever.
Listen to Evo explain its not Tiva or Petts fault.
Watch Leysey stagger about until he gets shirtfronted by a girl.
Listen to JB03s 900th excuse via mobile phone why he couldn't pop in for a beer when we all know his missus won't let him.(Always amusing)

Drink plenty more beer.

Forget game and result.

Pain reduced to self infliction which is more sedatory than watching Richmond.

Thats brilliant ST, seems ur the meat in the sandwich between Redford and Evo.

Ahem..... purely as footy goes Ass-toot Tiger then yes.

I forgot about old Ridley too.
He's amusing to say the least when it comes to discussing a few of his 'favorite' players. :spin

LD, ur cutting it pretty fine aren't you, how do u get a decent possie at the ground if ur arriving after the first bounce.
I have to always be there for the first bounce i just like seeing the boys run through the banner and listening to the roar of the crowd.

i take 3 teenage daughters(1 step) so i need to start saturday night.
game starts 5pm sunday, as long as their up by 9 am we might get there in time for game to start.
1 step son as well, but i could tell him at 4.45pm sunday and he would be ready on time.
taking mum as well, her being a carlton supporter (dont now how that happened)nobody is perfect.
hope we win, don't now how mum would take being told to walk home (ringwood for her).
what am i saying of course we will win GO TIGES.
