PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I just happened to be glancing through the VFL teams for this weekend.
Now as the finals draw near, as teams begin to take their real shape, I noticed the Williamstown team.

Guess who's moved into the first ruck position?

Yep, good old Scotty Meyer.

You may remember Scott Meyer from the 2004 draft pool.
He came from Gippsland and stands at 196cm.
Scott played in a FP in Gippsland's prelim team, alongsige Jarryd Roughead, when they were thrashed by Calder.
Since then Scotty's been asked to take on some big "no thanks" roles at Willy.
In 2005, he took on & beat the opposition's key tall in the VFL Reserves GF.
In 2006, he took on a similar role in the VFL Seniors final series.
In 2007, he's asked to play an even bigger role, 1st ruck in Willy seniors.

These are the boys you wish to go into battle with, the ones who take on the hardest roles.
Well done Scotty Meyer.
We at Tigerland wish we had a 196cm defender who takes on the hardest defensive roles.

What's that?
And you're only the same age as Deledio, Tambling, Polo & Pattison.
