Polak did enough to say he will be handy in the backline, but fullback, at the moment looks a real problem. *smile* had a tough gig yesterday. Gas looks out of his depth at the moment with the new push in the back rule.
So I reckon we've got 3-4 weeks to find a new one. With the new rule, the scragging type fullback will be a thing of the past.
I think we have to go to Thursfield and the bowdens.With the new rule you virtually can't touch a player.Thursfield could be eased back thru the season, until then we mite have to go wih Joel until then. Joel would have done better than gas did yesterday. Since the Melb game last year when Joel played a bit loose on Russel Robertson and got critisised he's played a lot tighter on the power forwards.
Paddy Bowden could be used, can take a grab and is not a scragger, but if he's getting beaten, switch Joel onto the fullforward. Please i hope we don't go back to Ray Hall, he's in the same class as gas.Ray's a scragger and the umps would pin him like they did gas.
