He will have my vote, is doing a good job off the ground. Can't be blamed for players not tackling

Gary bleeds yellow and black and only wants the best for the club. You only had to see his face on Thursday night to know he was hurting just like the rest of us. I think since he became President he's lost more hair every year. That being said he might be bald by the time he finishes ;)

Did march say that Wallace has the full backing of the board ?

A board/team united and led by Gary March has my vote. The unison of Gary March's leadership and Wrights savvy has done a hell of a lot of good for us off field.

I've mentioned this umpteen times on here but to me it is very evident the Board (once March assumed leadership) has been concentrating, rightfully so, from the outside in. After all Wallace was barely into a 5 year contract and our situation was dire on the peripherals / business performance side of the club (still is ordinary but a hell of a lot more improved and continuing to be so) .

It's been evident March and the Board have been concentrating gradually on setting up a greater support structure around the Football Department and while some criticise the appointment or lack thereof of assistant coaches etc the fact remains they have gradually worked on increasing support in development of players (appointing Craig and Jeff etc).

Tweaking of recruitment has been made, Miller released, there has been a gradual tightening of the screws that has no doubt coincided with Wallace nearing the end of his contract.

I have the utmost confidence March is on top of Wallace and he's not silly enough to go and sack him after a Round 1 game. Wallace's contract will be decided on in due time and if anything drastic was to happen in the meantime I am sure March would either put a stop to it or it would go badly for Wallace when his contract is reviewed mid year.

Wallace is running out of time, everyone knows it. If he is good enough to be our Coach he has time to prove last week was a abberation after the last half of last season. I just hope our list stays relatively healthy so the waters can't be muddied.

In Wallace's 5th and last year of his contract the time is now right to be addressing and dealing with the Head Coach, which is what they will do. However the Board have honoured Wallace's contract and as such would be poorly seen to suddenly do an about face due to the results of one game.

Just on March's future at the club I am not entirely sure he wants to be President for much longer. Not from a negative perspective but due to other interests and I think I recall him saying he wasn't a believer in long term Presidents at clubs (not sure if I recall right though).

Undecided, as it would be speculation as to the circumstances raised by the question.

On the matter of Gary March, as President overall, best we've had in years, if not decades.

Comes to grips with crucial issues and deals with these with integrity & trust.

Looking forward to Gary continuing on as President until his body & mind tell him not.

Mind you, 5-10 years would see out any individual in that capacity.

And a 5-10 year term sounds about right too.

Hope there's a succession plan in place.

I'm a big wrap for the board, but still a bit disappointed that we couldn't land a high calibre Director of Football and instead had to settle for upgrading our list manager.

Good point, forgot to mention this. I've been thinking about it a fair bit recently. All depends on how long he intends to run/hold for the role but if there is not currently one I certainly hope he addresses it when the time is right.
