The Game Plan ?

Tygers! Tygers! burning bright,
At the G on thursday night,
What players hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

like a good poem, The Tyger game plan teases us but in the end defies all efforts of cognitive apprehension

We are trying a new game plan this week - goes like this:

ball gets taken away without pressure by our opposition at the centre bounce
it gets sent into our back 50 and either 2 things happen:

1. The team scores a goal and we start again or

2. The ball is spoilt by our hard working and undersized defefenders and cleared to bowden who stops, thinks and then hand balls it to a standing johnson who handballs back to bowden who stops, props and runs backwards handballing back to johnson who is still flatfooted, he is then under siege by the hardworking opposition fwds so he handballs back to bowden who after thinking about it, stops, props runs in a circle then hot potatoes it to either king or raines who are surrounded by opposition then watches as they use their under siege mentality and sprint blindly fwd under hot pursuit of the opposition, the opposition mids have all flooded back and clogged up the middle of the ground and the centre corridor inside our 50. but back to king or raines, they run fwd being chased and pressured by the opposition fwds, they look up field and find pettifer who has lead so early that he is next to them and richo who has made 43 leads by this stage so they go wide to the wing and find a number of unmarked richmond players all on their own in space (tivva, hyde, howat etc), the kick lands short, wide or over their heads but the opposition is all in the corridor so they have time to gather look around and deliver to Richo who is now on his 44th lead straight at them following the boundry line like a guided missile about 50m out from goal with 3 defenders trailing him... from here we have 3 options:
1. richo marks it and turns blindly and bombs it OOF or
2. richo doesnt mark it but takes possession and is tackled by the 3 defenders because he has isolated himself from his team mates or
3. the ball is turned over and sent straight down the corridor back into our back half to a team of loose men because our backs have all ran fwd from our initial fwd thrust - at this point we go back to point 1 and start again

Tango (where's Cash?) that is hilarious and unfortunately probably what we will see about 25 times Thursday night.

That is good stuff Tangos

l will go with this option.
1. richo marks it and turns blindly and bombs it OOF or KICKS IT INTO THE MAN ON THE MARK.

Said B2

TANGO that deserves to be up in lights somewhere.
i reckon it should be put on the scoreboard for all to read after it happens, which it no doubt will

I would LOVE to see a game plan revolving aorund belief in our own ability to win the ball and deliver it as we have shwon. The game plan against COllingwood is so positive and exciting....run run run run back ourselves in.

Hole in one.

You'd think we practice this over and over again as we do it perfectly.

This is the best and funniest post I have ever read in my 18 months on Tiger forums. Brilliant :clap

Tango this is so true that it hurts but maybe just maybe we can add one extra item to the plan that will resurrect our sides belief in itself and the faith of the members ,supporters, and football lovers in general as each of the tiger players comes in reach of Judd they give him a WHACK and tell him to never disrespect our mighty club again . Pride is everything have pride in yourself your teammates your jumper your members and supporters and go out and rip Judd a new fevola sorry *smile*
