hurley imo is clearly a top 10 pick. he can play both ends getting him also gives us an opportunity to finally build some depth and add some quality into one area, kpds.
hurley rance thursfield. with back up from moore mcguane and imo we need one more preferably 195cm+ even if hes taken in the rookie draft.. its an opportunity to fix an area and forget about it. it gives us an opportunity to fully focus from there on in on kpfs and onballers.
the trouble with our club is we do things in half measures. im always saying you may have to turn over as many as 20 24 talls to find the the 14/16 talls that is required for good list structure and team balance. we agree on most things i think, but imo we are very deficient in kpds you dont seem to think this. finally i dont have a problem if we target an onballer kpf or kpd with our first pick this pick should always go on the best player available. my thinking is we will have a pick around pick 6 hurley could well be available around here.
Agree again my Dear Claws re KPD.
Rance Thursfield and a Hurley type would allow for the Tigers to builsd a solid backline.
Moores improvement has saved him this year and would provide a utility option ala Grover at Freo or Leo Barry at Sydney.
Another chb type 195 cm odd would be great further in the draft if they dropped ie a Trengrove but he wont drop that far.
Young Lisle as a CHF/ CHB type is another one im interested in he is rated highly but ive seennothing of him and others may be better versed to opinion on him.
Jayden Post will be another of interest that may be available come the Tiges 3rd pick, another who can play CHF and CHB at over 194 cm.
Then there is Vickery whom is also a needs candidate for the Tigers list also.
Hurley and Lisle and Vickery and Trengrove will all be available for the Tiges first pick but knowing Wallet we will go small with our first pick.
Ziebell and Hartlett are the most likely one would think on face value.
One must remember Polak may never play again and with so many other questionable types in Schulz, Pattison and McGuane for starters, and questions still needing to be asked of the Steamee the Tigers have a long ways to go in regard to building a strong spine for the next 8-9 years.
So many deficiencies so little options to address them.
