Better still might be 20 rounds - 11 rounds with 9 games and a bye, 9 rounds with 8 games and 3 byes. Each team then gets 18 games and 2 byes for the year and there's no need for that stupid 'Gil McLachlan' bye before the finals.

Even Doofus Shaw agrees with me that 7 years is way too long for grundy.
He even said that you dont need a A1 quality ruckman to win a flag.
Typical Collingwood sign up the bloke that is the least important.
I would have him beind Degoey,
Penderbury is a keeper and even Moore playing down back is more of a priority.
Don't get me wrong Grundy is a good player, but 7 years at 1 million per year. He isnt Brad Ottens.
