PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

I believe that this weekend is of vital importance to our club. We need to show that our new found confidence and attacking, pressurised game plan can stand up against a good opposition. More importantly I think is important that the players continue to give 100% and don't fall back into lazy habits. In reality, all we have done so far is beat an awful Freo and draw against the Dogs (who remember lost their last 7 games last year by sizeable margins).

I remember back to 2006 when we had some groundbreaking victories against Geelong (first win at KP for about 15 years), Port (first win against them at Footy Park) and Adelaide (first win against them in years) and yet we copped 3 100 point floggings and one by 90+, showing that we really had not progressed at all (which was confirmed last year).

This weekend (and following weeks against good opposition) we have a chance to prove that we are on the improve. I am looking forward to the challenge our boys face, yet am still a little fearful of what they may serve up.
