In that 1st 10-15 mins we really struggled with the intensity of their midfield and the pressure they applied when we were trying to come out of the backline. I felt at this point we were going to get smashed.
Their tackling was relentless, and it was a good lesson for our boys to see the level we need to get to.

Is it time to bring Joel back? He would have been handy last week when a cool head was needed and at times tonite would have been handy tonite. Our kickouts were *smile* tonite. Either not hitting targets or kicking to packs all the time.
I know Hyde kept Bateman to low stats, but his attack was ordinary, he kept getting caught out on his wrong side and turned it over heaps.
Would like to see Connars or Joel come back in for Hydey next week.
Overall i wasn't to upset at tonites loss, Got 20 points start off a hawk supporter.
