I'm still interested in finding out the current status of O'Rorke.

If we really wanted to be innovative we should luck :P look at hurlers (the other national competition - Hurling) rather than Irish Footballers. They play a much more physical game which is played at a greater speed.

Didn't Kenelly play Hurling?

Not sure about Kenelly. O'Halpin is a hurling player.
Quite a few of them play both Gaelic footbal and hurling. They have separate seasons.

Actually the two comps are played virtually simultaneously, the national finals are held with a couple of weeks of each other. But that's not the point. It's probably not feasible for our club but Hurlers - who usually do play football growing up and therefore have similar skills - play a game that's closer to AFL in speed and physicality so if we are going to look at The Irish Experiment it's worth taking a different tack.
