sheedy's trading and drafting record in the last 15 years is disastereous. take lloyd and hird ( both taken in 5th or 6th round at the draft ) out of the equation and essendon would be the basket case of the afl. no-one here would have even sugested that this time last year we sack terry and get sheedy because we were on a roll and they were where we are now.

sheedy is a bomber at heart he barracked for them as a young boy and coached them for 25 years so his 10 playing for the tigers doesn't rate.

if terry was able to get richmond to 9th place twice with the list we had then consider what he will do when we have a decent list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He drafted the best full-forward of the last decade and the best footballer of the last decade, not many coaches can say, I did that.

In the last 15 years, he has had as good a record than any coach in the AFL. He had teams that others feared to come against. But in the end it proves, you dont have to stay at the bottom and gather number one picks like a St Kilda, because that guarantees you nothing. Sheedy could pull one out of the bag and you'd never know how good his team would be that year.

He has always said both clubs mean the same to him.
