Chris Newman for sure, surprised only TBH is the only one to mention him
Deledio would be next
Very good point. Newman is as cool as a refrigerated cucumber; with the class of the Ritz hotel (London), swing jazz afternoon tea and scones. Would slot it. Deledio was my first thought. Morton is accurate. Cotchin is a pretty fair chance. Riewoldt has the experience and didn't! Foley a good chance on the run. But Richo for the theatre, the history, the legend!

Cotch is one of the most composed kids I've seen. I'd go with him.

But if the choice was open, def Richo. Imagine the drama and imagine Tiger fans as it sailed through. (As long as he didn't try and handpass it to someone nearby.)

But how many would actually see it. I know for one I couldn't watch ;)

just for all the critics ill set it up,
we are streaming forward, lds kicks long, hawthorn have pushed players back it looks like buddy has it covered, out of no where, TAMBLING!!!!
he slots the goal and proves his high pick!!!

So far...

If I had to put a mortgage on it....Lids.

If I wanted the best feel good story...Tambling.

If I wanted to make it as dramatic as possible and induce the most possible heart attacks ...Richo.

I'm just saying! ;D

1) Lids
2) Morton
3) JR
4) Cleve
5) Cotchin

I knew i forgot someone, clever...I am just going with the young ones as stipulated by DD in this thread, as i would've easily had browny in there other wise...

Would of been Meyer.

Now;

1. Brett Deledio
2. Cleve Hughes
3. Chris Newman
4. Mitch Morton
5. Nathan Brown

If we made the Grand Final in 2009, we marked inside 50 (48 meters out on a 45 degree angle) and the final siren at the end of the 4th quarter blared soon after and we had this shot at goal while being 2 pts down.

Who of our younger generation would you want to be kicking at goal?

You may be disappointed about his delisting but you can't be serious about Daniel Meyer as the guy Tbob? :headscratch

Ya, the main reason I did that is I think we all know who we would want the ball in the hands of amongst the twilighters and/or those players won't be there most likely in our next Grand Final. Besides, if one or two make it and we are relying on them, we are in trouble. ;D

Was just a exercise to see what everyone thought about our up and coming players, the next generation...when put to the acid test.

Dead serious.

The guy has one of the best techniques when kicking for goal and is a dead eye from set shots.

Unfortunate we will never see it at the MCG now... >:(

Yes I am bitterly disappointed at his delisting, I can't fathom how he did not get a senior game towards the end of the season. Besides Tivendale, young Danny was the best player at Coburg towards the end of the year. We keep on the hack Pettifer and delist Meyer. Shocking, absolutely pathetic.

Mark and play on - Tucky (he doesn't want time to think)

Mark and set shot from 51 (to get a nice trajectory) within the 30 seconds - Sounds like a Cleve Hughes special to me in 2009. Does Morton carry the 50? Connors is not out of it too. And Jack will be better for the experience. Waht was Richo in 2008...75%?

Probably Lids though if I had to risk DDisc's mortgage ;D

I'm not stupid mate, well actually I am, but um er...I don't leave myself open...I said A mortgage for a reason...I was going to use yours as a stake >:D

You are correct in that we will never know at Richmond but it will be very interesting to see if he's given a lifeline by another club and whether he makes a fist of it or not..

Interesting you mention Petts BTW..plenty of other flaws but he is probably one of the best set shots in our team from that distance.

Hawthorn, Port Adelaide and Fremantle have interest. I think he will picked up, and if so, except for injury I have no doubt will be a AFL player of substance.

No doubt? Seems those making decisions at Tigerland had more than a few and I have had plenty as well.
I guess we'll have to wait & see.
