So what do you think happened? Like I said this story is very close to the rumours that were circulating, which is definitely suggestive, where there's smoke there's fire.

If and I say only if what is said on this thread is true - even half true - I commend Newman and Johnson for standing up and saying to the Board the coach has lost the plot - nothing wrong with a senior group saying to the boss - your game plan is not working your coaching style has lost some/most of the players. Can we, the Board, the Football Department and the Players work as a team and do something about it.

As for Richo and Joel sticking with the coach that must create a division within the players - which by the sound of it has been there for a while.

We are certainly not a happy team at Richmond.

We are in for a flogging this week in the Dreamtime Game - some players don't want the coach others do - game plan *smile* - coach making the wrong decision because he will now favour those that backed him over those that feel he has to change or go.

It certainly does take a strong heart to support the Tigers.

would this sort of behaviour have been tolerated under someone like malthouse, sheedy or even matthews , i dont think so.thats why we need a strong experinced person that can install not only a game plan that the players can understand and execute on game day but also much needed disicpline into some of the ego driven players that we have

She'll write anything to prove she's right up there with the boys. That massive chip will never be worn down.

a firm young coach would be just as capable of holding things together. i cant imagine players getting away with this if it was clarkson coaching.

bring in a bright young thinking coach who is firm and wont put up with crap

I am sure you would have to have a decent dose of ego to play any sport at an elite level - but what if the coach or the manager was wrong and you as players were being belted each week by the opposition and the fans - eventually you would have to say "hey enough is enough we know we can play better than this but the coach will drag us if we don't play his silly sideways possession game plan. Stop blaming us - have a look at the bloke at the top the one giving out all the directions - he's stuffing it up and we are taking the hit for it................."
