The next two games.......

there is something I'm liking about this season;

1. we're virtually injury free after the break (sorry will)
2. We've got enough wins now to be in contention for 12/13 wins overall
3. A really good run home
4. We're playing plenty of youth
5. we can improve

if we win the games that we should win, we could be in some good form by round 23.

its funny cause i just get the feeling that if we beat the roos we will beat the hawks easily and have a real crack at making the finals.....if we lose to the roos i reckon we could go on one of our 'streaks' through the second half of the year. Against the team that has had our measure for so long - Its that big a game IMO....should be the 'crunch' game TW has been going on about.

Spot on.I have got that feeling as well. Although we are moving in right direction you cant help but forget recent history. I thought after the Freo game - we could go two ways. Winning streak or losing streak. I think the next two games are crucial in defining our season. Its not to say if we lose we cant make the finals its just it will make it a lot tougher. The think that gives us a bit of relief this week is that we are at the G and not Telstra dome. We dont play well against teh kangas at TD. The G suits us and hopefully we rise to the occasion.

When was the last time we played the roos at the G?

It was the last time we beat them - Round 21 2001 - we beat the roos by 4 points and richo had one of his best marking games ever(17) and then kicked the winning goal.....

nice work 8ball! ;D

6. We've got where we are with plenty of injuries to core and star players.
7. NGB might come good this eason.
8. We have a depth of reserves looking for form to rotate through the rest of the season- Hartigan, Chaffey even Roach and whoever of the youngsters is dropped to make way for Lids, Brown et al.

Yep.
Nth & the Hawkers are 2 games that the boys would need to win if they are going to take their footy to the next level.

These two weeks we will learn how far advanced we are.

No doubt that we need to win both comfortable to boost our flagging percentage.

Actually scratch that lets just win. But a couple of 6-8 goal wins would be handy.

looking at the richmond and coburg teams

there are 6 absentees

Richo, Thursfield are injured, this we know

Chaff must be injured too or in the Coburg reserves

Casserley, graeme Moore are probably in the reserves for Coburg

just three injuries

i agree. i feel very uneasy about this weeks game. then again, i always feel this way when we play the roos (i'm also a bit nervous with the world cup starting on monday). i'd be more confident if richo was playing

i can't believe the world cup starts the day before one of the most critical exams in my entire course :(
