I know there is alot of talk this year on who we will take in the draft and who we will not take.  But if there is one thing that steers me more and more towards DOWLER it is the fact that he has played for what can be defined as one of the best clubs in Melbourne.

I have played against these guys many a time (both in juniors and seniors) and as much as I despised them, I always held a huge respect for both the players and club.

Yes, they have a reputation of paying the $$$ for suburban marquee players, but have always looked after their juniors and grass roots - hence the nice balance; hence the success (in the Federal Leaugue, Southern League, and EFL)

Mark my words, Dowler does run straight, does give a 100%, and has that bit of Noble Park #### in him that the Tigers desperately need.   Oh yeah, and he also has the skills and marking ability to go with this.  If he is available - TAKE HIM AT 8!!!!!!! >:D >:D >:D >:D :clap

played school cricket against the guy, great bloke, huge lad and can play cricket aswell

hoping he turns out to be another brett deledio with lots of talent in lots of fields, thats only if he comes to us.

i would still take him even with his injury.

His stocks have gone back up since his accident....Obviously, the medicos think he will be OK. Still, imagine him in the team with the likes of Deledio, Tambling, Meyer and Polo...things would be looking up at Tigerland.
