The Off-field Backslappers Club

I think it's interesting that whenever the names of prospective coaches come up to replace sacked senior coaches, none of our assistants are evere mentioned. Go back to the Frawley days and none of his stooges (e.g. Crocker) have ever been considered contenders. Even Brian Royal hasn't scored a mention - but then again even Spud beat him to the Tigers gig in 2000.

Have to conclude that we haven't hired any good coaches in a long, long time (McRae may be the exception, and it looks like he may be gone soon.) It sure explains our poor development of junior talent.
I think McCrae will be good but we need to review all our development coaches

It's just amazing the spin these losers put on the pathetic performances of the club in all areas. Only one bloke at that club has any reason to be pleased with what he's done. That's Steve Wright for turning around the complete financial debacle left by that other loser Casey. But even Steve, at today's Social Club lunch was joining in the backslapping. Saying how great Miller and Wallace are and how we are heading in the right direction. Laughable.

And what about Miller? We're heading in the right direction. Uh OK, if the right direction is down you loser!! Coz that's the way we've been going ever since you came on board. And I love the way he defends his recruiting record by saying all of our young players are "quality young men". Well stiff *smile*. They're also introverts who from what we've seen so far are ordinary footballers at best.

We're going nowhere with these losers steering the (sinking) ship.

INteresting post TBH. Once you coach Richmond, your AFL coaching career is over, and that almost goes for assistants as well. Northey would be the last Richmond coach to coach another club and there hasn't been too many before him.

Let's be perfectly Honest about this subject..........................

No assistant , Board Member , or current employee of the Club is gonna "Hang-Sh!t" on Tezza the Tanned or any other Coach for that matter if they want a Job waiting for them on Monday morning , just not going to happen.
Not only would they be out of work at Richmond , but they would pretty much "Blackball" themselves from ever working at any Club , as being a Backstabber isn't the greatest wording on a Resume`.

These Guy's are alway's going to "Talk-Up" the Coach , no matter what , so it's just a matter of putting up with it , unfortunetely.

In our situation , I can't see any of our Ass. getting the job IF Tezza is flicked , I believe it would be a complete Clean-up and every job would be up for review.

Could be a Good time to come Home ??

I'll be looking for work , had a pretty good record in my year with the St Louis Blues................HAHAHAHA.

Today David King said Wallace is undoubtdly in the best 3 or 4 coaches in the AFL

Is it just me or is King always super positive in suggesting everything is always just dandy and going to plan.
Every time I've heard the guy speak he rarely has a negative word to say about anything. It's quite sickening actually.

I thought King would be great at Richmond and instill some much needed niggle and confidence into the playing group but if he's been trying to the results haven't been forth coming.
Apparently he has also been the defensive coach this year. I'd like to get his thoughts on Polak/Bowden playing loose in defence and Andrew Raines's stagnation this year.
Like the rest of the coaching staff, King's role at the club should be heavily scrutinised at season's end.

Good post ToO,Its okay to try & stay positive but for King to say TW is in the best 3 or 4 coaches in AFL is strange when we have won 1 game. All support staff need to be reviewed.
