The other finals - 2014

Watched a very wet WAFL grand final between Subiaco & East Perth Eagles (East Perth is Eagles WAFL side). Subiaco upset the Eagles to everyones delight. Running around for Eagles was Jarrod Oakley Nicholls who was a Tigers 2005 dud draft pick. Jarrod's form today suggests he maybe delisted from Eagles list next year.
Pretty sure JON is not still on the eagles list. Last i heard he was coming back to the tigers to take over Richo's job in promotions.

I can't remember being this disinterested for a Granny. So sick of both of these teams.

Yep. First and foremost, I don't want Hawthorn to win, but I'm also not barracking for Sydney. :hihi

Hear hear. Reminds me of 83 to 89, was like banging your head against a wall. But god that side was good.

i was thinking the exact same thing. i can't remember the last time i had this amount of disinterest in the GF. i'm more excited by my Hernan Cattaneo boat cruise an hour after the game tomorrow night.

another factor is that i don't give hawthorn much of a chance. picking rioli was a big sign of desperation for mine.

swans by 5 goals+

Agree with all that Ian excluding the boat cruise. I'm flying out to Honkers at 930am tomorrow. No interest at all.

Predictions for Saturday’s big match between Bondi Junction Billionaires verses the Old Codgers From Hawthorn are as follows
1. Buddy to kick 1.7
2. Goodes scores a 9.7 in the second qtr for diving prompting the Olympic diving team to offer him a contract too good to refuse, resulting in him retiring at half time.
3. Rioli comes on the ground and play’s the best 3 minutes of football ever seen before doing his hamstring at the 4th minute, not just ripping it off the bone but right off his leg.
4. Lake is finally shown up to be the hack he really is.
5. B.O.G. Roughead
6. And the old codgers win by 19 points
7. Jeff Kennet comes out on the news to take credit for the win, claiming that calling for Clarkson to be sacked 5 years ago was all just a ploy to get Clarkson coaching better.
8. Swans ask for the COLA to be doubled so they can recruit Ryder, Dangerfield and Beams, claiming it is justified because Sydneysiders wont turn up to watch footy if they think another team might be better than there’s is.

An interesting fact,
the 3 top brownlow vote getters for Sydney this year are all ex Hawks!!

Gold post. :clap :rofl

Not AFL but great to see the Rabbitohs make the NRL GF. They remind me a lot of Richmond. Haven't been near it for 40 years yet have the most loyal and passionate supporters in the NRL. Their supporters kept the club alive just like us with the SOS campaign. They have the best song in the league. And Russell Crowe supports both clubs (but he could give us some of the $$ that he pumps into souths!!)

Well done Rabbits!

Hawthorn has to either kick very straight or pull something from left field to win. Something nasty isn't beyond Clarko.

Maybe a Scotty Turneresque cameo could come in handy.
