The Positives Thread / Was there any up-side to last nights game? [Merged]

Its just a little negative on PRE and rightly so. But as always theres positives to come out of the game.

- Deledio looks a star now
- Simmonds looks fit, and will get better with the run.
- Moore was better
- King excellent as always, wish we had 22 players with his attitude
- Foley was tagged heavily all night, and didnt get a lot of gametime, but still managed 23 touches.
- Casserly looks ready.
- Morton looks a player
- Its great to have Brown back.
- And also Tambling, he looks more confident in his body now, and is going into more contests, and I think he played less than half the game and managed 12 touches.
- And last but not the least, Patto. I thought his rucking was excellent last night, and single handedly put us back in the game.

Agree on the above, i was rapt to see tambling dish off a hard hip and shoulder on harvey, needs to do more of that to round off his game.

The main positive from last night is that we can start researching the numbers 1 and 2 draft pick for 2008.

We are a shoo in to win less that 5 games and have the first two picks.

Where was Edwards by the way?
He is clearly better than half the team that played last night and I didnt know of any injury.

Positives were King, Lids when he led up the flanks with Pettifer, Newman, Moore. Foley battled hard as always.

Casserley should be given a back flank, his kicking is far superior to JON, McMahon and Raines. He has pace and some height too.
I can tell you edwards was injured, but hopeful to be back next week.

Cmon guys there were some positives out of tonight

Here is three that I can think of off the top of my head

1. I only watched 10mins of the game
2. We won the cricket
3. I only have to come up with three positives

Gotta ask.

What happens if Carlscum win less than 5 games as well?

Will they get the first priority pick?

No they dont...

Hmmm we are one practice match into the season and we are talking about priority picks with a degree of authority.

Yes, ohh, hmmm, oh dear. The chicken entrails are not looking good.

Mate i hope we win as many games as we can,

I'm positive that we'll have plenty of selections in this years' draft. Craig Cameron will have plenty of choices to use.
Bite the bullet. Use them wisely mate. Don't trade them down.

I thought Axel played well even though being hard tagged.
Tambling showed some improvement and more confidence, he put his nose over the ball and dished off a little bit of aggression.
Richo hasn't lost anything even though he is at the age where things can start to fall apart.
Deledio has show he can be played anywhere and be a quality player.
King showed that he has the makings to be an "A" grader, rather than a flash in the pan.
Wallace is being now beginning to be publicly exposed as the fraud he is.

It isn't all bad.

At least we can have some confidence that the recruiting department should be able to at least make good use of early picks. >:D

But I'm not getting to bent out of shape after one NAB cup game.
