PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Had a great chat with Jake last night about a range of topics.
Cant say that I have met a nicer current AFL player.
He gave me all the time in the world and seemed genuinely interested in what I had to say.

The topic came up about why he kept #46.....
Jake was offered and accepted #13 from the club several weeks ago.
He was told that he had a fantastic year and deserved the pick of any number.
Later that day Jake received a letter from a young boy from the Royal Children's Hospital.
It explained how Jake was his favorite player and he was saving all his money to get a RFC jumper with the #46 on the back. It also included a picture of Jake taking a massive specie.
Jake said he was so taken by this he went straight down to the hospital with a jumper to deliver it to him.
So Jake now wants to make #46 his own and won't ever change it.

It so refreshing to hear a nice story from footy.
