The Richmond Game Plan

Has to be something wrong with the gameplan, more kicks, more marks, more handballs and we lose by 50 points.

We bounce the ball more than any other side and tackle less than any other side. (Also beats the crap out of me how the least-physical side in the comp is consistently on the wrong end of the free kick count).

- the players don't have the capacity to execute the plan properly, or
- it's a development phase on the road to something more productive, or
- TW's vision for the future is not the right one

Not going to read too much into the remainder of 2007.

Too busy boucning the *smile* thing instead on looking up for options. Just keep your eye on the "stat" hungry players, what a bullcrap stat to have.

One win for the year isnt enough keep a coaching spot! Re-building or not, this is called decomposing. The president needs to realise, even if he has a 5 year plan, he has to hope for a miracle against the trend if we are to get anywhere. We have gone too far back and in 2 and a half years, all we get are good efforts. Gary March talked about seeing out a contract and expecting a decline, where is the logic? What did the graph look like?

We need a coach with balls and honesty, too many excuses in a short period of time. The hawks where in our shoes and they chose a man that sold them an honest story not a fairy tale.

Not enough leadership and brains to show composure. What do you expect, when the coach says play on all the time and take them on? Use your smarts, Raines and Tivendale are prime examples. They dont use their smarts. They get caught atleast 2-3 times each a match. The f ups are part and parcel of the emphasis.

Agree mb, maybe that is our gameplan even though we are continually reminded we are not tanking !

To see the ball kicked start to the opposition over the last 2 weeks with no pressure makes you wonder. At this level of football it is a joke or is it planned?

Interesting tactic employed by the Hawthorn forwards when standing on the mark. They generally moved to the goal side of the pocket where the Richmond defender was taking the free kick or mark, almost to the side - thus trying to eliminate Richmond's constant tactic of kicking across to the other back pocket. As Richmond don't work hard enough, few options presented down the same side of the ground.

The Richmond Game Plan is:

1: Finish on the bottom of the ladder
2: Stuff up your draft picks
3: Tell your supporters we are a few years away
4: Delist your early draft picks
5: Finish on the bottom of the ladder
6: Stuff up your draft picks
7: Tell your supporters we are a few years away
8: Delist your early draft picks
9: Finish on the bottom of the ladder
10:...

TJ you've missed something about step 6 - turnover the board.
