Played pennant bowls against Alan Jeans on Saturday. He made a couple of interesting observations about father and son, the Richo's.
In his opinion, Matthew is not a good footballer, but a great athlete. Bull had the best pair of hands he had seen. What I remember most, was Bull charging through the centre bounces with that big chest stuck out and splitting the pack wide open. He hates the rule that allows a player to intentionally give a point, and cited Bowden doing it a couple of times last year. All in all, a very interesting ex coach to talk footy too...in between trying to win against him. The game ended in a draw by the way, not that is of much interest to viewers of this thread.
