PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Certainly appears to be another old fashioned footy basic that's gone by the wayside under Wallace's tenure.

I am amazed at how little our players work for the ball carrier every week & it's no wonder our kicks are consistently under pressure.

Without seeing the replay, I reckon I counted one or two on the weekend and there were plenty more cases where we didn't shepherd when surrounding players had the opportunity to help another Tiger out. We see it week in and week out. It's lazy, selfish play not to.

I know Wallace has tried to put extra emphasis on tackling this season but for goodness sakes some shepherding would be nice too.
Show the players a tape of how the Cats protect the ball carrier, Sydney too. Good teams look after the man with the footy.

It's not glamourous, it doesn't show up on the stats sheet either but use your body to protect you man FFS! >:(

Is it that hard Wallace? ::)
