I was thinking about the loss last night and remembered how the last time we beat the Saint's which i think was in Grant thomas's first year as coach. After the game he said that even though they lost the game they were still a better side, we'll i think the shoe is on the other foot and at seasons end we will all see who the better team is. I want to know if all you Fellow PREndr's agree or am i dreaming.

Re: The wheel has turned

Remember that game distinctly clown.

I don't think we will be the better side come years end.

They had so many injuries and still managed to beat us.

We have had hardly any injuries and although our endeavour cannot be questioned, I think the bulldogs were unlucky to lose after kicking 4.10 in the 1st qtr, and the Hawks inaccuracy made our effort look better than it really was.

Yes we have played 5 of the top 8 sides, but the mugpies and north games were, dare I say it, "frawleyesque".

We still have a long way to go.

Re: The wheel has turned

I agreed that the wheel has turned. It's great to see the fighting spirit.

However, I also want to see us win these games. Wallace has silenced many people and we finally look like a team that has made many inroads.

The kids are contributing and the older players are leading by example.

Cant wait to see the next superstar in Cotchin make his debut again Essendon.

sorry changed the heading cause the wheel has turned probably wasn't the right saying. i think the shoe is on the other foot is better

Trouble is we don't play them again this year.

:blah Unless it's a final. :)

Our intensity is great but good teams don't turn the ball over as often as we do. The problem is it seems to be endemic at Richmond with all players at times guilty of unforced errors resulting in opposing team goals. Newman and Foley (two of our better kicks in the team) were guilty last night. I think everyone would agree that we outplayed the saints and should have had them on toast if our delivery was better. But until we start to demonstrate effective kicking on a regular basis we will struggle to beat any good team - even with a much intensity and running. For me the jury is still out - increase our kicking effectiveness and we'll most certainly be a good team (much better than the saints who IMO are very brittle - put em under pressure and they crack).
