Starting to get hard to leave blokes out. Bowden still in my best 22 for one more year. A side this young needs an old general marshalling each line i reckon. Ive got Bowden down back, Simmo in the middle and NGB up forward. I refuse to call richo old.

Richo back at FF ???

i dont care whos out there as long as the 22 give all they can and bee competitive for 4 qtrs well tell a white lie want richo in team lids , foley , cotchin , and bling :hihi

Lol watch the replays - McMahon played just as good when we lost as when we won.

He ran as hard as anyone when we lost.

I'm all for diversity of opinion but you're making false assumptions when you say he's a frontrunner. I'd be happy to say he's a frontrunner and a good solid player, but he's not. He's a good solid player who runs hard no matter what the scoreboard says.

He helped get us back into at least 3 of the close games that we ended up winning. He won the ball when we had no momentum and sparked something with his run and carry.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree that he is no more of a downhill skiers than most AFL players. Sure he plays rubbish against Geelong, but then so do all our players.

His season Highlights according to prostats were
25 disposals, 7 marks, 3 clearances, 8 rebound 50s v Collingwood, Round 3
30 disposals, 14 marks, 8 rebound 50s v Hawthorn, Round 20
32 disposals, 8 marks, 6 rebound 50s v Fremantle, Round 4

A pretty fair mixture of good, bad and mediocre teams

He also made some of the worst of his trademark blunders against rubbish teams, he had a howler against Freo in rd 21 that sticks in my mind.

EMG Jackson Hughes Connors Raines Polo.

- For Xmas I want Tambling to have the poise and game of Andrew Mcleod re: 1998.
- I reckon Deledio will play out of the square as he did in last few games pushing into the Mid-Field swapping with Richo.
- Bowden definately better up forward. Even if he does slow it up on the HFF he has enough skill to find a target. I hate it when he slows it up on the HBF and we lose all drive. Its not so bad having some poise up fwd.
- McMahorn, Tambo breakin the lines Newman big bombs from deep.
- Solid and Promising tall back 3 with Schulz playing both ends of the ground where needed.
- Lookin at the list we lack an Up and Coming tall fwd. After Hughes we aint got much and he's got a lot of work to do!

not a lot of people prepared to give kids a go i suppose the club does indeed reflect its supporters unfortunately.

one other thing a lot of people naming richo on a wingto me thats a spot for cotchin or edwards or even jordy mcmuffin. we lack key forwards of size far to often underdevolped kids are left double and triple teamed while the one option that can give them help is playing on the wing.

anyone notice while richo played wing edwards who is a running machine was plonked in a pocket to fit him in and he struggled this is not the future. we curb the development of a genuine mid and let our junior kpps get smashed trying to play lone hands forward.
richos role is hff no richos job description should be roaming forward starting wide on a flank.

Same old, same old problem claw........Does Wallace read PRE??

I'd rather have titch at HFF who could be dangerous once he fixes his kicking for goal on the run and Richo starting from the bench every (most) games. There's no need to tire him out for 100 minutes.

hang on a minute....
the fact that richo is not in the fwd line allows our junior KPP to develop and work together (quite well towards the end of the year)
you want to stick richo back in (he just had his best year and nearly won a brownlow) and go back to kick it to richo in the fwd line

Claw you make sense in a lot of your comments but imo this has to be the dumbest and biggest backwards step that the RFC can take in a long while, and goes against all the development arguments you have pushed before

i stand by what i say many games this yr we had just jack as the only tall playing forward and we paid the price. jack should be developed with big bodies around to help him out. jacks development should have up to this point been as a third tall floating hff.instead we ask him to do what the mature should be, i dont know about anyone else but i reckon our structure sucks i have thought this for a long while.whilst richo on a wing may have helped his game its been detrimental to to the development of others and it has not been good for structure.

you want to play richo on a wing fine find two other tall options to help jack in the forward line. personally i would rather see a cotchin newman or connors anyone whos a good kick on a wing to richo.

to replace richo we need to develop 3 handy talls. by this i mean lynch hansen and staker maybe kennedy this yr. as most are wont to point out on this site nothing special about any of em but they work as a unit in a forward line that is a team. one of the complaints is while richo is there we just cant develop that unit within an overall forward team.

You're hard to follow santa. Where do you think Richo should play? Full back?

Richo is a cham;pion and still our best. FOr the betterment of the team, we stick him on the wing so we can develop our fwd line and now you want him off the wing?

Geez! He's gotta play somewhere! Personally I would leave him up the ground whilst we can and when he can trun whole games tak ehim back in the fwd line!

Swapping with Deledio works well for me!

what juniors are being developed i only see one jack riewoldt and hes been left to shoulder the whole forward line as far as talls go. what sort of structure does that give us. i could understand richo on a wing if hughes was at ff jack at chf or a flank and we had a big body in the forward line to take the heat of the boys .
do we want to win games or not without decent structure we will struggle to win any games. no will rephrase we will struggle to win games against good sides.

lets look at it this way im all for alaex rance getting a game atm as a third tall option play him but for gods sake lets have some people around him who are physical and established. rance thursfield schulz moore how many talls is that.what im going crook about is we put jack in the forward line and ask him to play a lone hand its crazy. if people want richo as a winger fine, but bloody hell if thats the case lets get the forward line structure right while we are at it.

a question how many capable kpfs do we have and be honest. i make it two and one we play on a wing.and yeah we have two others in the system pattison who lets face it is never going to play kp and hughes who i continually put in teams.

im all for playing jack and im all for playing hughes but whos going to show the way and bear the brunt wheres the big body to help these kids. oh thats right hes on a wing.
