Draft Picks and Side for 2008:

B King Silvestor Thursfield

H.B Casserley Moran McGuane

C Newman Polo Edwards

HF Richardson Polak Brown

FF Deledio Simmonds Riewoldt

Rucks Meesan Masten Foley

INT McGinnity JON (This boy will make it. Watch and see. Love him. Aggressive aboriginal is hard to come by). Tambling Pattison

EMG Meyer Connors Hobbs

So therefore:

Pettifer, Schulz, Tuck, Johnson, Hughes, Hyde, both Bowden’s, Krak, Tivendale, Howat, Hartigan and Coughlan should be swapped around or let go.

Draft Picks:

2 Kruezer / Masten / Cotchin (3rd choice) (No Morton / No Palmer)

18 P. McGinnity

19 R. Hobbs

35 J. Silvestor

51 J. Venturini
67 (Ruckmen) D. Putt ?

PSD: Moran

• Notes congratulations to Wallace for tanking this year. Did not think his ego would have handled it. Great stuff.

(Trades) Schulz for Meesan

• Plus the aforementioned and we have a good side coming through. A better side than I thought we would. The players who we can let go have value for the first time in recent memory.

ROOKIES:

Searl (North Ballarat)

Gazzo (Coburg)

P.S Hughes and Howat are very soft. Watch closely. Should be traded or let go.

Welcome to PRE.

I can't see that backline working at all. Way to inexperienced to trouble anyone.

Don't like this team. It's a shocker.

How can we have a third choice for Pick 2? We're assured of getting one of the two.

Interesting to see your comment about Hughes. And Gazzo as well...so you don't rate Fort Caruso or Jonno Mullins?

Just my opinion on what ive seen of Mullins hes a bit small aint he and doesnt or hasnt impacted on games ive seen him play.

Get rid of couglan and tuck and connors on the bench i dont think so,get off the drugs

Not AFL level for mine. but others will probably have a differing view just sick of seeing a list full of weedy lithe little bodies running around that do not impact contests.

I agree, he's tiny. But I still reckon we're lacking a defensive small forward. King could've played this role, but I like him down back. Gazzo, Caruso and Mullins are all on our doorstep, have played a year or two in the VFL so have harder bodies and can all play that role pretty well.

I'd probably take Gazzo, but I'm an unashamed Caruso fanboy :-[ Mullins would be a distant third option though.

I was just curious to see what lamp thought....

Fort Caruso is a goer no doubt and ive like his work ethic and commitment, and energy, good little player i agree anyone could see that.

Shame he wasnt born with legs below his knees. this kid is very unfortunate to be so short, which would obviously be his biggest detraction .... unless i have missed more obvious ones.
