As is normal practise every year, when buying the GF Record, I went straight to the review of the Tigers and who was highlighted in the top 5 of each KPI.

There are 2 major KPIs that I like to look at:
1. Hard Ball Gets, and
2. Loose Ball Gets,
because these two KPIs reflect who gets the ball when it is out of possession. They are what alters play.

The fact that a 17yo 1st Year Player can be listed in both these 2 KPIs is both a credit to his own ability, and a kick up the backside to more experienced that he surpassed.

Hard-ball Gets:
1. Shane Tuck          91
2. Mark Coughlan     71
3. Brett Deledio        51
4. Kane Johnson      46
5. Wayne Campbell  41

Loose-ball Gets:
1. Shane Tuck          74
2. Joel Bowden        74
3. Mark Coughlan    67
4. Greg Tivendale    61
5. Brett Deledio       57

My other favourite activity is to put a tick against each player for every time that they are mentioned in each of the various KPIs.
The results were as follows:
Total Ticks
9     Shane Tuck
8     Joel Bowden,  Kane Johnson &  Mark Coughlan
5     Wayne Campbell & Matthew Richardson
4     Chris Newman
3     Brett Deledio
2     Darren Gaspar, Kayne Pettifer & Troy Simmonds
1     Andy Kellaway, Andy Krakouer, Greg Stafford  & Greg Tivendale

For those of you with the Record, the review is on page 170.
