Well after 23 years (1992 Norm Smith Medal - Maurice Rioli) the Richmond Football Club has finally won something.

Congrats to Brett on a wonderful year, the Rising star award and for many more great years to come.

Does this signify the slow but steady turning of the wheel for the Richmond Football Club?

After securing the likes of Nathan Brown in 2003, getting rid of Frawley in 2004, appointing TW in 2004, keeping our draft picks and having Lids have a year like he did things seem to be heading in the right direction.

As a Richmond supporter it seems quite strange?

Patience is a virtue and something we know all too well.

As the worst performed side in the competition for the last 25 years it is soo good to finally see young talent coming through the ranks and those in charge of proceedings with a decent plan in place.

A little more patience is still required as our young chargers need 40-50 games under their belts to be able to take games by the scruf of the neck.

Heres to an exciting 2006 and beyond!!!!!!!!

Agree wholeheartedly ... and for those of you wondering how the Tiges made it to the 1992 Grand Final, well, the 23 years bit was right. :)

So we lost to West Coast in 1992. :hihi

The RFC had many opportunities to secure topline recruits at the club, but they never had the right people to do the job.

I think times are definately on the improve.

The past 12-15 months have been really exciting.
The most pleasing thing is that we always seem to be doing or saying something positive.

I am just wrapt to have TW, imagine if we had some unproven coach. :help

You've forgotten Jeff Geischan's victory as coach of the 1997 reserves premiership team!

Come to think of it that was more of a loss as it prompted Daphne to "unleash the Geisch".
Wasn't it Schwabby coaching at the time?
