What most people on here who 'have an idea' what is going on are upset about is; we want to see ...........

Think we need to get a blowing one's own trumpet smiley on here Mikee. :hihi

Q48 Overall, how satisfied are you with the Club's home ground - Telstra Dome?

I almost busted a valve at this question. The scale doesn't go far enough into the negative to register my satisfaction level.
I can see where this might be heading. MCG tenancy will be offered to the best performing and "attractive" clubs with all the others demoted to the dump. With Vlad the Besmircher at the helm it's a wonder we aren't playing home games out of Arden Street.

Get some dentures Tigers and bite!

yeh..i was kind of wondering about that comment myself...i dont know if mikee is insinuating that i dont have an idea...here is my idea..its a game..i love it..i dont pretend to know a thing about running the club..i join up cos i want to be part of the club..i dont join up and then expect my moneys worth in success..i do it cos i love the tigers...top, bottom or middle...where ever..i have followed richond for a long long time...i would follow them if they were on the bottom every year..winning is a great feeling..love it..but i still go for a drink at punt rd after the game...( or the live wire bar at telstra!) I still proudly wear my tiger colors. cos after all..it is a game..it is not my life..my health and wealth do not depend on the tigers success....that is not my problem. about the only time it affects my health is when there is a point the difference with three minutes to go.now that is heart attack material.

now just one more thing...why do people dislike telstra so much..if we won our games there would any one be complaining...i know we dont seem to play as well there but there is no real reason for that. i do prefer the mcg cos of the atmosphere but other than that what is the problem? ( oh,,,and i do like catching the escalator up the top..no ramps!!)

go tiges :)

But that's not the argument, relocation isn't an issue.

Here's a novel idea - let's play our home games at home! Are you aware we've played less home games at the MCG than Hawthorn in the last 8 years?
Thats what the club want to do an to say they dont just because the AFL has given them a bum draw is rediculous

I got your point the first time CC. It's fine to say "we're trying" but why aren't we being listened to?

I'm sure if you looked hard enough you could find the AFL's phone number. :)

Yep and Andy D would put me on speakerphone so the rest of the Commission could hear what I think.

I'm one mel. I'd have happily agreed to one of our dump games being played in Tassie.

I'm with you some of the way Rosy, so long is it's not one of those slippery slopes I keep hearing about. One TD game forfeited for one Tassie game I could live with. We suck at the Dome. I'd just be worried that given our less than impressive negotiation skills at Happy Days HQ we'd end with a worse deal than the Ruskies got for Alaska.

Our record in Tassie isn't all that flash compared with the no-dome.
Having a game down there also makes it one I would find harder to attend and I like to get to as many games as possible. Will be getting a 17-game ticket again this year and have gone to three interstate games in the last 4 years.
One of the comments I made in the member survey is that I would like an option for premier seating at the MCG but just walk-up for the no-dome.
The main reason people don't like the no-dome is that it just doesn't have the same home ground feel that the G has.

...or you can rise above all the postulations provided by the pathological whingers and maintain the faith. Now there's a novel idea.

Why were my posts edited?

& why don't you tell us your reasons for not wanting to play home games at TD again.

Including your fear of heights which whilst I sympathise, it is of course completely relevant when you hold a reserved seat... ::)

If you want to barrack for a team that screws it's fans and sell it's home games around >> www.hawthornfc.com.au

Your posts were edited because of excessive quotes.  Please read the Quotonator thread and clip the excess content from a  quote so it only contains the part you are replying to and you'll save the mods a lot of work.

I just started a thread in reply to ronni's question about the Dump so  :blah.  I forgot to include the fact you can get good seats at the G without reserving seats. ::)

Your Hawthorn comment doesn't warrant a reply.  I spend my time and money providing this site to discuss Richmond and don't have a lot of time for others.  You seem to know a bit about the Hawks one though.  ;)

i gotta say..the steepness of the stand at the top at telstra is a bit scary to begin with..i am not too keen carrying drinks down and a pie in my other hand and not being able to hang on somewhere..and there seems to be more leg room at the g too..

but..if we play well there i will happily sit there every single week!!!!

No you spend your time and money to support the TIGERS, not RICHMOND
