Hi, I was thinking about that top 15 rating chart that the coaches were using for picking the NAB cup teams. I wouldnt mind having another look at it. Does anyone have a link?

Don't know if Tiger Attack's question is genuine or extracting the urine, but apart from Axel Foley the other 14 have had below average years so far !
At least Brown Eye can say he hasn't played yet !

Thanks Disco. It makes interesting reading doesn't it?

Of the top ten in this gimmick, P. Bowden, Johnson, Tivva and Tuck have been poor or not getting a game. Browny is injured, so thats five of the ten who aren't performing as 'top ten' type players.

Of the top ten only one has been consistnetly good and that's Foley.

Howat has been in and out but could be tagged promising.

The other three, Richo, Tambo, and Lids, have been ok in patches.

Thanks Disco. Still the same problem tho'. Krak has been poor, Pettifer in and out of form. Meyer, Moore and Jackson havent impacted, Polo ok at times and Pattison alright.

So, is the top 15 thing an accurate indicator of where we are? ie. bloody poor.

Or was it measuring the wrong things? ie. Johnson came 2nd!

You're looking at the wrong one ;)

It was:

1. Deledio 4925

2. Foley 4914

3. Howat 4836

4. Tambling 4510

5. Krakouer 4476

6. Pettifer 4404

7. Tivendale 4369

8. J. Bowden 4357

9. Tuck 4325

10. Brown 4274

11. Raines 4248

12. P. Bowden 4234

13. Moore 4216

14. White 4214

15. Newman 4196

Krakouer was top 5 and they were saying he had shed a lot of fat and put on more muscle than fat lost meaning he might be capable of a midfield role this year...

I think all this prooves is that the NAB 15 was so gruelling that nobody can keep up that same intensity all year. If Nathan Foley burns out by the end of the year we might be able ot say the 2007 pre-season burnt players out short term but really gave them a good base long-term. At least that's what I hope!!!!!!

It must have been so gruelling that the poor lads were knackered for that first NAB game. At least they had time to freshen up for the real game against the Cats..oops, bad example!
