I was at the SCG last night and just a few things that mad me mad.

1. richmond kicking it 25m chip passes at the smallest ground in the AFL allowing Roos's boys to flood back.
2. Letting the swans kick ins go to a player so easy, this happens every week though.
3. Lack of physical pressure from certain players, cant be bothered naming them.
4. THE UMPIRES, thought they helped swans with 4 goals.
5. not honouring leads when they were there, and if they did they were 45m out on the boundary.

Does anyone else think Richmond has to start kciking the ball 50m, especially at the SCG??? - it was so obvious watching the swans players run back to zone up. we get it in there way to slow

Spot on Bunnerz... I was there too and agree 100% There was no-one presenting themselves, Sydney held us all night and we lammented...just closed down. I was surprised at how well Roberts Thompson locked Richo out... noone else provided any leads or options

i just think we played the ground VERY VERY badly.

when the swans were coming out of our forward 50 we applied no pressure until forward of the centre - you can't do that at the SCG because a kick from forward of the centre lands 10-15 out - the number of times they had 2-3 free players at CHB and could hand ball to each other and run through the centre was incredible.

Ths swans put the pressure on between CHB & the centre - that way we hardly ever got the ball forward of 40 metres out - hence where our goals came from.

I don't know whether they were the teams instructions or whether the players were forced into it by the swans but in all my years going to the SCG I'd be hard pressed to remember a team playing the ground so badly. We were flattered by the margin.

Hopefully the G will bring out the best in the boys next week - and J Bowden ...... if ever there was a game to show his worth down back the SCG was it - missed his kickouts, run and marshalling of the troops big time!

We just played poorly from start to finish. We didnt have one player that looked dangerous for us. Extremely disappointing effort again. These sorts of performances have been a cancer on this club for years.

Good post bunny boy.  Agree.  I thought allowing them the space in the back half was extremely dumb footy on a ground that is 2 bloody torps long.  Stuff up by Wallace I suppose.

We were never going to win, but I thought the umpire killed the game in the first 10 minutes of the 3rd Q when he basically handed them 3 goals.  All right in front of where we were sitting.  Plus their players were wandering  over the mark all night.  Geez I hate that.

Our backline resembled a sieve. No Newman, Bowden, Kellaway got a knock and was out of sorts, Thursfield. Too many to cover.

it was interesting to read in the SMH on match day a long article bleating about how badly the umpires treat Sydney. My impression was that the whinging had been going on all week.

that free kick for running too far against matty white (i think) was an absolute disgrace. i got a few laughs around me when i said they umps were feeling sorry for them after the eagles game. thatfree kick brioke our back. i knew the game was over from then.

our use of the ball was terrible. to slow to move it. they know how to play that ground and did it very well. we could find no space when going forward. their forward line was always open. they clearly match up very well on us. i thought *smile* put in a shocker but he had no support.

Thanks Bunnerz.

I only watched it on TV, but i've seen enough of the tiges this year to visualize all you are saying. Those chip kicks are generally hesitant and too often lead to a turnover, where with one kick the opposition manages to penetrate the goal line. It's heart breaking to watch.

Honouring leads out on the boundary is a tiger speciality. I used to blame Richo for leading out to the boundary, but there are plenty of others who do it too.

Let's hope we learnt as much from this game as we did from our last encounter with the Swans.

Watch out Saints!

we definetly need the MCG.
and move the ball in to the forward line quicker before they flood back.

we are still thereabouts and would be happy with one win of the next 2 weeks...

if not cheerio for 06, i think it would be great for the boys to play in a final

Agree,if we can knock off Saints or Doggies it gives us a real chance to make the 8.
