PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Comments about our list and future success based on age, height and position got me thinking.

What else, apart from a balanced list, is needed for ultimate success? What particular "x" factor have winning teams had over the years?

Why does one team, eg the Hawks, beat another, ie the much favoured Cats, on the day it matters most?

What did our premiership teams have that we haven't had in recent, and not so recent, years?

Any suggestions of qualities we need to bring to our list to give us the edge when it really counts?

As a first suggestion I'll go for arrogance. We have a history of too many introverted players imo. I want to see them stand over the opposition and to fly the flag for their teammates. I'd love the players to have an ultimate belief that winning is their destiny and losing is simply unacceptable, and the arrogance to make sure it happens that way.
