Some of JR's match day tactics are also offputting. Having 3 taggers in the one team all playing roles in certain games (White, Jackson, King). Shifting Post down to defence last few games and playing with 1 tall up forward in Riewoldt. Playing Nahas in the middle. Shifting around Tambling and playing Deledio up forward more the last few games when he has been dominant around the middle. He seems to be trying to teach very negative football and our I50's (normally 20 down on the opposition each week) reflect that. Maybe he just is trying to save games instead of risking blowouts by going all out and trying to win them.

Tend to agree with you there Barnzy, you watch the first quarter of the Sydney game and all 3 midfielders, including Lids, were trying to tag their man. How do you get a clearance when all of your midfielders are tagging at the same time? I understand Jade is trying to make Lids more accountable for his man, but I would prefer this to mean he works harder to run both ways, not completely remove his creativity by forcing him to play a run with role.

Perhaps his success against Judd in the carlton game has the coaches stuck on this one, but i think it was Mc Veigh (?) he was playing on, not Chris Judd and not a player who is going to take you to the ball every chance he gets. It looked like Jade was trying to beat Sydney at their own game, a shut down rolling scrum style that the Tigers have shown no ability to execute in the last 5 years.
