Drunken revellers have been seen dancing in the streets of Melbourne last night. Some were seen and heard to be shouting "Terry for coach."
The local parks were full of young and old making violent love. One older person, wearing a worn moth eaten tiger skin, which he claims he stole from the Richmond Football Club, kept shouting beers for anyone who would sing the Tiger club song. Even a blonde tubby Collingwood supporter joined in. Anything for a free beer after yesterday he sobbed. A group of happy teenagers, wearing a variety of yellow and black clothes were yelling at passing cars, "Tigers for premiers in '09." "Cogs is back, " yelled another.
Very strange behaviour from people who would normally be weeping and moaning on trains buses and trams saying something like "We want Bucks," or even, it has been said, "we want Mick."
Have no idea what all this euphoria is about, but think it must be something to do with a game of what is called "footy."
