They just don't give a stuff!

For god's sake don't protest for the fri nite game against Dogs otherwise Maleny Tiger and I will be the only ones there for our once in every two years trip south.

MT and I do not handle pressure well surrounded by a pack of dogs. ;D ;D

The first sign of pressure they became worried about themselves and completely reactive. They have no confidence, have lost their natural instincts to take the game on and most of all clearly have no faith in the game plan the coaches are putting forward.

Hit the nail on the head....it happens time and time again. As soon as the opposition lift their intensity, we go to water. They go into self preservation mode and back to the sideways chipping rubbish. Old habits tend to be repeated when the pressure is at its fiercest.

what's everyones feeling tonight, are you going to attend more games?  I like to go whenever we play in Melbourne but geez, I'm just about at the limit of endurance for bitter disappointment.

Will continue to attend out of loyalty but my heart hasn't been in it for several weeks. Seen far worse dished up by Richmond sides but it wasn't any more dispiriting than this.

With all the *smile* blaming Plough and the other coaches for our miserable failings yet again. I reckon it's way beyond time that the board dug a little deeper and had a genuine overhaul of a few other areas of the club instead of just taking the easy option of sacking the coach.

Our scouting, recruiting and player development has been pathetic ever since the draft was invented.
Virtually no resources provided to the most vital area of football for nearly thirty years shows a glaringly obvious trend when our win loss ratio is measured.

If we ever bother to get the correct finances and systems in our recruiting then even the most mediocre of coaches would have half a chance of being competitive.

Now that the player revolution has been squashed and they've managed to play half a game again before deciding it's all to hard and taken the soft option of standing around watching the backline play kick to kick.
I wonder if anyone at the club will bother to hold a private little meeting with all the list and advise them that regardless of who coaches for how long, each player is playing for his and his teammates careers.
Every player needs to be put on review, not from the coaches but from CC. Those that just stop to a walk or stat gather when the pressure comes on need to be cleared out at seasons end, as Plough will no doubt be cleared out.
There's a huge difference between not being good enough to win a game of footy and deciding halfway through to just stop trying, or only trying when the opposition take the foot off the gas.

Round 11 can't come quickly enough.

We have been in winning positions so many times this year it is just not funny.

We have shown that we can play decent football (albeit halves of footy)

We have matched it with the cats when we got on a roll, had the dogs nervous, should never have lost to melbourne, and should have beaten the swans, port and last night's game.

Yes we are soft, yes we are mentally insipid, yes our game plan stinks, yes guys like Pettifer, Schulz, Simmonds, Bowden, etc shouldn't play for us again, BUT, the younger players are capable and can play great footy.

Despite the negativity we have a future with our kids, a decent coach and a good shrink.

We appeared to play as individuals tonite not a team.

I always thought of it as gimmicky, but maybe players need to do a Kokoda trail in the pre-season and bond a little more.

I think that for one game supporters should show their displeasure at the players by not turning up. To do so for the rest of the season though would hurt the club to much but a one time display should be enough to wake them all up players, coaches and administrators.

Round 12 would be ideal for it. Agaisnt an interstate team will really drive home the point.

I like the idea of a grass roots campaign. Hmmmmmm

Kokoda trail, this lot :rofl :rofl :rofl

People are saying they're not fit enough, they're playing injured players etc, etc, god Kokoda would kill them.

My other half she's done the trail, I've seen the footage she took, its absolutely brutal in places about 95% of the time. Its a real test of mental stamina, something that these players are continuing to show they do not have.

Still and all, I'm continuing to ask where is Jeff BOND, Sporting Psychologist Par Excellence and just what the bloody hell is he doing about this mental mess that is sitting at PR.

Instead of not turning up, it would be better to attend the game, BUT TURN YOUR BACKS ON THE PLAYERS when they run out on to the field, come in/out at half time and again at the end of the game (if they lose that is). No abuse etc just silence with your backs turned, now that would STING.

Why don't we take them up Mount Everest before the ND. The ones that don't make it back, we replace :P

Seriously...we must be the only team in the AFL not heading in the right direction. For that matter, do we have any direction.

Seriously considering giving it the arse for the rest of the year. Just couldn't be *smile*ed watching those losers dish up the same garbage every week. Got much better things to do with my time than watch that sh!t.

do what i did 2 years ago by becoming a melbourne victory member... follow a winner for once
