Read in this mornings paper that Terry asked for tomorrow nights meeting with the Board, rather than the other way around. He is clearly looking for a commitment for the rest of the season at least.

The board on the other hand have said that Terry will be informed of their plans after the mid year review, which I guess is expected after rd 11.

Hope Gary sticks to his guns and holds off taking any action on Terry's contract until then. If this is the case we can expect to see our most experienced players given every chance to prove themselves and demonstrate their loyalty, over the next 4 weeks.

That would be about the right time to make a move without having let the situation go on for too long, as I don't want to see Terry still in control and playing politics at the end of the season, with promises to veteran players as a ploy to shore up his own position, as he did in 08 with Johnson. Mid year would also give us plenty of time to seek Buckley's services.

Wallace should stay on then until mid year with a care taker appointed to attempt to use the remaining 11 games to sort out some of our younger players. I believe Mc crae is best equipped to do this and should be given the opportunity to do so.

From that point I wouldn't expect to see Bowden, Brown, Hughes, Johnson, King, Mcmahon or Simmonds, (before Rd 22). As for Petts I went to Adelaide and watched him closely. Lets face it, he has always had the ability but has lacked courage.

Maybe just maybe.

As much as it hurts losing, I do not want Wallace to get a sniff of retaining his job next year. He has had his go and it ( his horrible game style) has not been good enough. New coach needed as well as a player clean out.

NEXT...

Forget the idea of Buckley. I can't see him coming to us, and I actually don't think he'd be what we need anyway.

We need an experienced coach who can shake the foundations and stick to a plan that will hopefully lead us to a brighter long term future. Admittedly, that is what TW was supposed to deliver. It didn't happen, but I still think the model was correct, we just didn't have the right ingredients.

Look at what Clarkson has done with the Hawks though

We have a process in place, Terry will go in due course. An assistant will be appointed to see us through and Bucks will become coach in late 09. Hopefully we will also have a low nat draft first selection and a priority second round pick.

It's that 'due course' that could potentialy embarass the club even further. If the mid-year review by the Board decides to axe Wallarse then the media will set off a nuclear storm around the events that occured today. If this happens I think the Board will implode in itself.

Gary March must think through his decision at the review, I personally think Wallace will coach out the year.

What a joke Terry invites himself to the Board meeting and then doesnt attend. Oh and he also didnt take training either he must be home counting his $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

After todays circus and even before, Wallace should coach out the year. What a joke to have a interim coach come in. FFS, todays debacle in the media has been laughable and some of the threads created since have been just as big of a joke.
