PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

As much as I hate to say this, I'm afraid any hope of vast future improvement for the Richmond Football Club, is further off than I ever thought.

I asked myself where the improvement would come from, and have difficulty finding an answer. Sure, we have some quite good kids, like Deledio and Polo. Add to this group a small handful of others who may or may not be great players for us, and then what are we left with. I am not going to mention names, which would, as usual, open a can of worms for those wishing to savage the current players, but most of us know, that we do have a number of pretty ordinary players, and quite a few coming to the end of their careers.

Therefore, what are we left with??? From what I read and hear, there are not all that many Coburg players who are setting the world on fire. To be successful a team needs players who have skill, a quality which we seem to lack to a large degree. For the Tigers to be absolutely smashed by over 100 points in three games must say something about us. All the usual excuses of injuries, youth, etc., only goes so far, in my opinion.

No, i am not Soloman, and don't have any answers, but I'm sure others will give their opinions on where we should be going, but as we wake up this Sunday morning, the future is not all that bright. Disagree at will, but that is how I see it, in the cold hard light of day.
