"This year we'll let our footy do the talking"

Well, what are we actually saying?

You have all obviously misread the statement, it clearly refers to an actual Football doing the talking.

As we all know that a footy can't actually talk (but it can make a "pthhhh" sound as the air leaks out), then clearly we aren't going to hear much at all that means anything, so there you have it...... :rofl

If things are that bad between players and coach (and its a big if) then its a huge problem which can only be sorted out by either changing coaches or as you say getting rid of players who won't toe the line.
More than likely we will have a new coach for next year & the start of a new 5 year plan.Doesn't really matter what sort of relationship TW has with the players, only a heap of wins will save him.

But it's still a problem. I'm thinking those same players had problems with Spud and likely with the next coach as well. They don't seem to want to take personal responsibility for their performances. It's been talked about before, by people from all walks of life, about the Richmond 'attitude' that's prevalent amongst some of the players. I've had personal experience of it as well, from the end of the Spud days through to the Wallet era.

Bloody oath. Its the same problem St Kilda had before Grant Thomas. The relevant players really need to be cleared out no matter what.

I'm thinking stuff like Wallet blames the players and recruiters for 2007. They are put on notice about the condition they're to come back in (skin folds etc). In return the players say well what does Wallet do around here? All he does is feather his next nest in the media. March says, fair enough. Wallet, you're gagged.

Then Wallet, through King, leaks to the media that Joel is too hard a case.

Next thing you hear is the leak (presumably from the players) that Wallet doesn't go to training. March or maybe even Miller will step in and say to Terry- you can't miss any more training sessions until we start winning some games. Yeah. I know no coach does all the sessions but we look bad in the media.

At the end of the year, any player who stands against Wallace has to go. I don't care if it's Deledio (pretty unlikely).

But that's not to say that our main problem is anything but a lack of talent, Colonel.

Agreed that lack of talent is our core promblem. Frankly if it’s players vs. coach then the players have to go. Frankly none of our senior players are good enough to give “it’s him or me” ultimatums.

In the end its easier to get rid of a coach than it is to sack a majority of the senior group.
If Walla$e cant get his message across theres nothing left for him to do. Id go for get rid of Walla$e & Miller if we dont start winning games and let the new coach dictate who stays on at the club.

Agree. It's also the financially correct choice. No money saved by sacking coaches. Senior players who think they're more important than the team could have trade value at draft time.

Our football sent me a clear message on Sunday at half time. GO HOME. So I did.

Thanks RFC. Much appreciated.

Sadly we lost but you missed a vastly improved showing by our boys in the second half.

And we do all our preparation on a 'crap' ground.

Are we getting anything right?

I might spend this season on the 'off field' board. :'(

Until Cogs gets back :D

Couldn't be bothered with the second half. Collingwood just seemed to cruise along and should have really buried us in the second half. My stomach was turning from the ease with which they were scoring goals in the first half. I'd seen enough.
