PUNT ROAD END | Richmond Tigers Forum

Well. How to begin?

We got smashed in every department. Our midfield was mauled today. Backline non existant and forwards lacking any delievery.

Geelong run very hard and work extremely hard for one another. Pressure levels of both teams forwards was very noticable. Our forwards did not pressure there half backs. Result was they were able to move the ball with ease and give excellent service to there forwads.

Hard to pinpoint anybody in the midfield as most tried hard. Make some basic errors and Geelong pounced.

Deledio wow.
Chris Newman. Developing into one of the best small defenders in the league.
Scored 15 goals. We lost by 10 goals as did Hawthawn but at least we kicked some goals.
Gaspar. Played well.

Hall. Hmm
Kellaway. Hmm
Tivendale- Not a defender by any measure.
Roach- Granted he is not a back pocket but i am starting to worry.

It is clear we are going through a transition phase in terms of a game plan. Players are taking risks they possible dont have to take for the sake of keeping the ball moving. Dont panic.
