Three major problems

We have a couple of senior players that need to be traded.

Krakouer is on top of the list.

these krak bashing posts even make it onto non krak bashing topics, get over it >:(

Shultz should have been moved forward at times yesterday and Richo moved to CHF..

We need to rotate more players through our forward line.

BTW, Pettifer is a good small marking player, I don't see him as a "crumbing" type.

Agree about more rotation through the forward line - the set up yesterday seemed very casual (apart from Richo's efforts).

hardiness at the ball
the ability to hit/run through opp players
and the abiltiy to stand up for a richmond player who has been hit
we need to find a couple of players who will FIX up an opp player .on a regular basis

For no.2 Graystar we also have the most talented small to mid-size forward in the competition out of the side. If we had Browny then a lot of the load would be taken off Richo and the other forwards as he attracts so much attention because he is so dangerous when the ball hits the ground.

You make a valid point Cogs. With Brown back next year, with the big proviso he is over the injury, we should have some help for Richo, plus maybe Rodan. Not sure about D Rod yet.

Well thats my hope , perhaps i am a bit too fanatical about *focusing on youth* ahead of other avenues but i just think thats
the way to go. Anyway probably not much point worrying now will wait and see what happens i guess..

Nothing wrong with a youth bias Hymie. Having said that, a mixture of youth and experience seems to be the best mix. Will be interesting to see who goes, who stays and who gets drafted.

A bit off topic here, as I really wanted to focus on what others think we need to do next year, to correct the three, what I saw, as three major weaknesses this year. Was hoping that there would not be any further comments on players, per se. The "player bashing" bit has been done to death. So far so good!!

Was surprised not to see Sarge thrown forward yesterday.

Next year, we will have Browny back, more experience, a number of options in the midfield area and the younger guys will have an extra year of weights behind them.  The main area I think we need to concentrate on improving is our backline.  To me that is the weakness and a quality key position player wouldnt go astray in that area.

To put the year in perspective, 6 games were decided by less than a goal.  We were competitive in many games, quite a few games we came back from reasonable deficits to win or nearly win matches, and we still managed our fair share of injuries to crucial players, some who have been carrying these injuries through matches.  Overall you could see there was a lot more fight in the old Tiger.

I was relatively impressed this year.  I think TW and co have done an excellent job and I look forward to seeing what new blood will be coming Richmond's way for a consolidated effort next year.

Cheers

Major Prblems, at RFC are too many players who are soft, lack poise, composure, vision , skill, pace, ability and inability to make decisions or lack of footy smarts.
Apart from that we are going well hahahahahha :hihi
